When writing this post, Morbius is only getting a theatrical release on Friday, April 1st, 2022. You can buy tickets on the movie’s official website. However, there’s no streaming release date for Morbius as of yet, so if you want to watch the movie, you’ll have to visit a theatre near you.
Generally, Sony follows a patter of releasing its movies on streaming platform a few months after the theatrical release. For instance, Uncharted arrived on the streaming platform two months after its theatrical run. On the other hand, Spider-Man: No Way Home got a VOD release four months after it came out in theatres, but it is yet to arrive on a streaming platform.

Where to Watch Morbius Online
Morbius is finally getting a theatrical release on April 1, 2022 in the US, and a day earlier on March 31 in the UK. The movie had been affected by so many delays over the last couple of years, that we were beginning to question if it would ever see the light of day.
The movie was previously slated for release in January 2022, but this was pushed back to the April date we have now. The pandemic massively affected the release plans of Morbius, as did the incredible success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw the Marvel movie dominate the box-office for much longer than expected.
Will ‘Morbius’ Be Available on Netflix
Sony struck a deal that all of its 2022 releases will arrive on Netflix before going to any other streaming service. So, when Morbius arrives for streaming, you’ll have to watch it on Netflix, and maybe after that you’ll see it on services like Starz.
Will ‘Morbius’ Be Available on Disney+?
Given Morbius is originally a Marvel character, fans might be wondering if the film will be available to stream on Disney+, the home of Marvel content.
The answer is no, Morbius is unlikely to be released on Disney+ anytime soon because it’s a Sony Pictures movie and so it will first be released on Netflix.
With that being said, Sony’-04-s Spider-Man films will eventually be released on Disney’s streaming platform.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in April 2021 Disney and Sony signed a content licensing agreement that meant Sony movies come to Disney+ after the film’s 18-month first-pay-window is over.

Morbius is part of Sony’s Spider-Man universe, meaning the character is owned by the company’s Sony Pictures studio rather than original creators Marvel, much like Tom Hardy’s Venom films and even Spider-Man himself.
Because the rights to the character are owned by Sony Pictures this means that the film’s prospects for streaming are limited, at least at first.
In April 2021, Variety reported Sony Pictures had made a deal with Netflix to get the exclusive rights to stream its movies in a first-pay-window agreement, and this applies to all of the studio’s films released in 2022.
As such, Morbius will be available to stream first and foremost on Netflix, and while no release date has been announced for the film, the industry standard is around seven months after a film’s initial theatrical release date.
This means that the earliest Morbius will be available to stream is probably going to be November 2022.
