When Is Doctor Strange 2’s Release Date?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently scheduled to premiere in the United States on May 6, 2022. The sequel was originally set for release on May 7, 2021.

However, the film will launch on May 5 in the UK. Rolling Stone also suggests that European nations including Germany, Italy, and Sweden, plus South Korea, will also get it on May 4.

The film will possibly recoup that amount in its first weekend alone. Because of that, Disney will only be releasing this movie in theaters.

While you certainly won’t see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Netflix before it releases on video-on-demand, last year Sony signed a deal to bring the studio’s 2022 film slate to Netflix during the “Pay 1 window,” which used to be 18-months after the film’s theatrical release, but could be even sooner, given that most theatrical windows have been reduced from 90 days to 45 days during the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, it’s likely you will see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Netflix in 2023.
