Cricket World Cup (India)
The Cricket World Cup is the most prestigious international tournament in cricket. It takes place every four years, and in 2023 it will be hosted by India. In what will be the 13th edition of the 50-overs event, it comes at the back end of the year in October and November.
England are the defending champions, after they won the competition for the first time in 2019 courtesy of a Super Over against New Zealand at Lord’s. They will face strong competition from the likes of Australia, India, Pakistan and New Zealand as they look to defend their trophy.
There will be a total of 48 matches to choose from at the tournament. The opening stage of the competition is a round-robin, with the top two teams advancing through to the semi-finals.
Super Bowl (Arizona, USA)
The Super Bowl is considered “the greatest show on turf”. If you are lucky enough to get a ticket for the game in February 2023, you will see the AFC winners take on the NFC champions at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Even if you can’t get a ticket for the game, being around the host city for a Super Bowl can be great fun. Lots of NFL fans flock to enjoy the celebrations and events which tend to take place in the week ahead of the contest.
The last time the state of Arizona hosted a Super Bowl was in 2015. It was a thrilling game which went right down to the last few seconds, as the New England Patriots beat Seattle Seahawks 28-24.
