Popular YouTube star Jake Paul will put his undefeated record since becoming a professional fighter on the line when he faces Tyron Woodley. Paul has made it clear on numerous occasions that he is willing to fight anyone in both the MMA and boxing world.

Paul has also reached out to other fighters like Kamaru Usman, sent a contract to Micheal Bisping, and made a $50million offer to Conor McGregor. Tyron Woodley, 39,  is 15 years older than Jake Paul who is 24 years old.

Woodley has a very impressive resume which includes being a former welterweight champion in UFC and beating the likes of Darren Till, Robbie Lawler, Stephen Thompson, and Carlos Condit. He will be a different animal when compared to the other opponents that Paul has fought, however, he has lost his last four UFC fights.

Jake Paul boxing record

Jake Paul was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 17, 1997. He’s 24 years old and has a ‘boxing record’ of 3-0 in the paid ranks. All inside distance. His resume so far includes:

  • Knocking out former MMA star and current ‘dadbod’ Ben Askren inside a round in April 2021.
  • Knocking out former NBA star Nate Robinson inside two rounds in November 2020.
  • Crushing fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib inside a round in January 2020.

For anybody who does want to see Jake get busted up, this could be the first genuine chance of it happening. If you discount the beating grandaddy Mayweather put on him at that presser in Miami recently.

Whatever you say about Jake though, the dude knows how to sell a fight. That one-sided beatdown of Askren drew in excess of 1.5million PPV buys (generating more than $75million in revenues).

Tyron Woodley boxing record

As you might expect, the answer to this question is nothing, nada = there isn’t one.

Tyron Woodley was born April 7, 1982, and is now 39 years old. He has fought 27 times in UFC competition with a 19-7-1 record.

As we said, this former welterweight titlist has lost his last four, culminating in a first-round capitulation to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 in March 2021.

Can ‘The Chosen One’ translate his MMA skills to a boxing ring? And what does he have left at age 39? Guess we will find out soon enough.

YouTube star to face former UFC champ in latest boxing act

Jake Paul will take on former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in his fourth professional bout after signing a multi-fight deal with Showtime.

The 24-year-old internet sensation made easy work of Askren, a former wrestler, in his first ‘real’ test after previously dispatching Nate Robinson, an ex-NBA player, and a fellow YouTuber, Ali Eson Gib, in a professional boxing career that started last year.

Woodley and the UFC went their separate ways earlier this year after dropping four straight in a losing streak that started when Kamaru Usman ripped the welterweight belt from him.

“Come and get this smoke for real,” Woodley told TMZ in May. “I’m in and I can actually find him. People that keep talking about fighting him, they’re not even in a position to fight him. I can actually fight him.”

Final Words

Despite years of fighting experience under his belt, many people believe Tyron Woodley is the underdog going into this fight on August, 28. Jake Paul is younger, faster, has the height and reach advantage.

There’s been a lot of back and forth between the two camps in recent weeks with each fighter promising to knock the other out.
