Where to Watch Live Race NASCAR Series Cup Watkins Glen Online Streaming at Home
With just two races left until the NASCAR Cup Series playoff begins, Sunday’s Go Bowling at the Glen (3 p.m. ET, USA) will be extremely interesting as drivers below the cut line, including fan favorite Chase Elliott, are running out of chances to win their ways into the postseason.
NASCAR PICK FOR WATKINS GLEN :
Speaking of Elliott, the Hendrick Motorsports driver is among today’s race favorites, along with teammates William Byron and Kyle Larson, based on the latest NASCAR odds.
And it’s the favorites that I’m keying in on with my favorite bet for Watkins Glen.
Elliott is widely considered the best road course racer in the Cup Series, and the numbers certainly back this up.
Despite not yet visiting victory lane, Chase has finishes of fifth, third and second on road courses this season.
Please note that he did not race at Circuit of the Americas in March after suffering a leg injury while snowboarding.
And if you zoom out even further, Elliott has been the dominant driver in the Next Gen car at road course races.
Since the start of 2022, the driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet has the best average finish and the best average running position while also leading the most laps and running the most fast laps.
And finally, here are Elliott’s last four finishes at Watkins Glen: fourth, second, first and first.
HOW TO WATCH THE NASCAR CUP SERIES AT WATKINS GLEN
I understand that Elliott didn’t exactly light the world on fire in practice and qualifying on Saturday, but it’s not like we have to buy him at his pre-practice price either.
The 2020 Cup Series champion closed around +350, depending on the sportsbook, before cars hit the track yesterday for qualifying. But he’s now available at +550 at most shops, including FanDuel, and you can even get +600 at BetMGM.
Elliott is the best road course racer in the sport, his Hendrick teammates are very fast, and this is one of his best tracks. So, I’m willing to invest in this car making its way from the 15th-place starting position to the front by the end of today’s race.
The bet: Chase Elliott (+600) to win
The most popular way to strike value is hedging your bets. Hedging is a more grounded approach to betting; a bettor will wage on the opposite side of their original bet when the odds of it winning becomes more realistic. But we turn to the betting plus-money alternative to maximize your expected value. This means what you’re accruing over time through profits.

How to Profit With Bonus Bets for NASCAR on Sunday
Let’s break this down using Action’s best bet for Michael McDowell to place in Indianapolis last week. McDowell won the Verizon 200 at The Brickyard last Sunday for his first win of 2023:
Michael McDowell is having a career season and is very much in the NASCAR playoff hunt. He now gets two cracks at his best style of racing – road racing – with today’s race in Indy and next week’s at Watkins Glen.
In the Next Gen era, McDowell has posted the third-best average finish, the third-best driver rating and third-best average running position at road courses. And while not all that unexpected, the driver of the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford has been very fast at Indianapolis again this weekend.
McDowell posted the fastest single-lap and the fastest 10-lap average in practice, showing his car has plenty of speed on short and potentially longer runs at IMS. He backed up that speed in qualifying as well, securing a fourth-place position on the starting grid.
In McDowell we’re getting a very strong performer at this style of track who has also showed plenty of pace since unloading at Indy.
McDowell’s odds to win this Sunday are set at +1200. So with a $100 bonus stake on him to win Sunday, we would see $1,200 in profit back. The bonus bets aren’t kept either win or lose.
NASCAR Betting Guide
For those unfamiliar with betting auto racing, there’s a few types of prop bets to be aware of:
Stage winner: When a bettor wagers on a driver to win each or a specific stage of the race.
Fastest lap: This market is for bettors that want to wager on a driver to record the fastest lap of the race. This is measured in time.
Pole position: For bettors who want to pick which driver they think is going to snag a starting spot for the race.
Which manufacturer to win: More modest odds that offer a market for bettors who want to bet on the car rather than the driver.
