Encanto is a 2021 American computer-animated musical fantasy & comedy film produced by Disney Animated Studios. Directed by Jared Bush & Byron Howard, co-directed by writer Charise Castro Smith and produced by Yvett Merino & Clark Spencer, Encanto is perhaps the most iconic film of the year.
The production’s original songs were penned by Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda. This Disney film first premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on November 3rd, 2021. It was exclusively published in American theaters on November 24th over a thirty-day theatrical run, due to the pandemic. Encanto might’ve underperformed in the box office but it has received many positive reviews, heavily favored by the public.

Disney+
Unsurprisingly, Encanto is available on Disney+ and has been since December 24th! You’ll also be able to stream other movies and shows from the Disney platform, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, ESPN, and National Geographic. There’ll always be a wide variety of titles added to the list for binge weekends and movie nights.
The present subscription for the Disney streaming platform is $7.99 monthly or $79.99 every year.
Netflix
Greatly cherished for their originals, Netflix is our first stop on the search for viewing Encanto outside Disney+. Unfortunately, Encanto is not yet available on the streaming giant. You can, however, access the expansive library of shows and films including other titles on Netflix under various subscription costs depending on the plan you choose.
You’ll have the option of selecting the $8.99 per month for the basic plan, $13.99 monthly for the standard plan, and $17.99 a month for the premium plan.

HBO Max
Unfortunately, Disney’s Encanto is not yet available for streaming on HBO Max. But much like their other streaming service counterparts, HBO Max comes with a vast variety of other shows and movies to choose from for merely $9.99 per month for the ad-supported subscription, and $14.99 for the ad-free option.
When it comes to the streaming platforms not offering Disney’s Encanto, it’s important for fans to remember that nothing is ever set in stone. All we know about the future is that it will be different. Just because the title might not be available on your favorite platform now, does not mean it won’t be in the near future. So keep on searching!
Hulu
Hulu is not offering Encanto at the moment. But feel free to access their many other titles through the basic plan which will only cost you $5.99 every month or $59.99 every year. At the moment, the platform is a home for the final season of NBC’s This Is Us. And be on the lookout for season 2 of Reservation Dogs which is scheduled to premiere sometime this year!
Amazon Prime Video
Bringing a slight change to the trend of this article, Disney’s Encanto is in fact available to purchase on Amazon Prime Video. You can buy the film for $19.99. Sadly, you won’t be able to rent the film via the platform (at least not yet).
There doesn’t seem to be an option for viewing the movie online for free but only time will tell!
