Morbius Full movie plot

The film shows Leto telling the story of Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist who tries to cure himself of a dangerous and rare blood disorder.

Morbius was a brilliant biochemist who gained incredible talents as well as an insatiable thirst for blood as a result of his efforts to heal his own unusual blood condition, according to Marvel Comics. He originally appears in a 1971 issue of The Amazing Spider-Man and was developed by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, making him the first Spider-Man villain who was not created by Stan Lee.

The film stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius and looks to be based on the Marvel Comics character’s origin tale, with the first teaser depicting Leto’s character frantically striving to cure his blood ailment. His attempts lead him to consider bat-based remedies, and the rest is, well, vampire superhero history.

Throughout the years, Morbius fought against and alongside Spider-Man at various points in Marvel’s comics, often while struggling to control his vampiric hunger. It’s unknown exactly where his moral compass will point in the film, and the Morbius trailer doesn’t seem to offer many clues. Like Venom, Morbius spent a considerable amount of time as a violent vigilante in the comics, often using criminals to sate his cravings for blood.

Which universe is Morbius set in?

Among several conflicting conjectures, the strongest one comes in the second trailer where Morbius jokes, “We are Venom.” Thus, it can be concluded that Morbius takes place in Sony’s Venom-verse.

But there are a few elements that raise a number of doubts. Vulture appears in the film and is a part of MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The Daily Bugle newspaper is also spotted, reminding viewers of the original Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire. However, the articles in it are references to Rhino and Black Cat from Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man movies. It is now for the fans to see how this upcoming film fits in the MCU.

Who The Heck Is Morbius?

Morbius the Living Vampire is a supernatural, horror anti-hero in the Marvel Universe. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Morbius was introduced as a villain of Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 in 1971. The character’s cult popularity allowed him to star in his own series of Marvel comic books, and he appears as a recurring character throughout various Marvel stories.

A brilliant biochemist named Michael Morbius became a vampire when he tried a risky experiment to cure his rare blood disorder. Instead of healing himself, Morbius became afflicted with pseudo-vampirism, mimicking the creatures of the vampire legend.

The popularity of Morbius stems from Marvel’s dive into horror comics in the early 1970s. Just a little bit before the Satanic panic of the ’80s, Marvel Comics introduced a slew of dark, edgy characters like Blade, Moon Knight, Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, and Ghost Rider, as well as comic book series like The Tomb of Dracula and the

anthology series Crypt of Shadows. In contrast to Marvel’s usual superheroes, these horror comics were darker and sometimes aimed at an older audience.

Final trailer

The third and final trailer opens with Adrian Toomes, aka Vulture (Michael Keaton), telling Dr. Michael Morbius, “Discover who you’re meant to be.” To this, Matt Smith’s Milo responds, “The bad guy.” Later, Morbius puts up an enigmatic show and replies, “I was trying to help people, but the cure… it’s a curse.”

Jared Harris, Morbius’ mysterious mentor Nicholas, says, “We all have monsters within us; it’s up to us to control it.” But Morbius is not sure if he is capable of doing so.

Meanwhile, Adrian believes Morbius was “given a gift.” The anti-hero’s childhood best friend Milo says, “All our lives, we’ve lived with death. Why shouldn’t they know what it feels like for a change?” Milo wants Morbius to accept who he is.
