It’s the perfect time of year to get cozy at home and watch something truly scary. Sure, some people gravitate toward holiday romances, but we love to watch something truly spooky this time of year too. If you’re looking for something new, it’s time to check out one of the biggest horror movies of 2022.

If you want to scare yourself silly by watching a horror movie about childhood trauma, demonic possession, insufferable birthday parties, and, of course, creepy smiling, there’s only one platform where you can watch it for free with a subscription. Paramount+ will be the streaming home for Smile for the foreseeable future.

Subscribers can to watch it as part of their plan. Paramount+ offers a free 7-day trial for new subscribers, so that’s your opportunity to watch it for free. After the trial period, subscriptions start at $4.99/month. It will not be available on Netflix or Peacock, but other streaming services like Prime Video will also offer the movie for rental and purchase (right now, you can buy it on Prime Video for $19.99). Is Smile (2022) Streaming Online?

There’s been no word yet on when the new Smile movie will be arriving on streaming. As it stands, it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to watch the film from home, at least for the time being.

Considering Smile is being distributed by Paramount, chances are that the movie will eventually be added to Paramount+. In 2021, Paramount movies like A Quiet Place Part II were released online 30-45 days after their theatrical premiere. It’s unclear whether this practice will continue in 2022, but it seems possible considering the current COVID-19 situation.

Can I Watch Smile On HBO Max?

No. Smile is a Paramount movie, not a Warner Bros. movie, and therefore will not be streaming on HBO Max when it opens in theaters. More than that, HBO Max will no longer be streaming theatrical movies in 2022. Last year, Warner Media opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max. The movie may be on HBO Max someday, but it won’t be any time soon.

Is Smile Available On Netflix?

From the mailbag, “Is Smile available on Netflix?” No. Nor will it be anytime soon, for that matter!

It’s hard to believe it has been 20 years since Wes Craven unleashed his horror film masterpiece “Smile” upon the world. A landmark film in many regards, it became an instant classic which has inspired countless filmmakers and spawned four sequels in just as many years. Because of this, we can expect many fun Smile-related tidbits to hit the media over the next few months, but for now, let’s focus on a very simple question:

Is Smile Available On Hulu?

Viewers are saying that they want to view the new TV show Smile on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

Will A Smile 2 Happen?

As cynical as it may seem, another strong reasoning for Smile‘s bleak ending is leaving the door open for an inevitable sequel, with Joel now being the possessor of the curse. Gallner has confirmed his interest to see what comes next for his character in a potential sequel, while Finn has also teased ideas for a Smile 2, including unexplored lore cut from the first film due to both budget constraints and story concerns. With Smile having already lit up the box office with over $210 million against its $17 million budget, while also scoring largely positive reviews, it will be interesting to see if Finn and Gallner reunite for another chapter in the horror universe.
