Reddit! UFC 272 online stream: Covington vs. Masvidal Full card

UFC 272 is just hours away…and while it doesn’t include a title fight—a real rarity for a pay-per-view—it looks like it could be a very exciting night. The third UFC event of the year features a welterweight clash between Colby Covington vs. Jorge Masvidal, with both fighters looking to cement their status as challengers for the welterweight crown. In what promises to be an entertaining night of mixed martial arts action, there’s no love lost between the former training mates-turned-rivals, and they’ll put their rivalry and skills to the test in a five-round fight in the octagon.

Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington is arguably one of the best welterweights in the world, aside from the reigning champion, Kamaru Usman. On the other hand, Jorge Masvidal has completely turned his career around in 2019 by adopting the persona of ‘Street Jesus’ and baptizing his competition inside the octagon. Covington excels as a wrestler, whereas Masvidal likes to brawl and hates to take the fight to the canvas.

The two fighters used to be best buddies, and have shared countless hours with one another, both in the gym and outside of it. Masvidal has said that the beef between the two will never die while Covington has promised to “drop him on his head”.

There are several interesting fights on the card beyond the main event, including former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos taking on Renato Moicano and controversial former NFL star Greg Hardy looking to halt a string of terrible performances when he faces Serghei Spivac.

What did Covington & Masvidal have to say about the fight?

Prior to the faceoff, Masvidal has reportedly told Sports Illustrated that he was not going to be satisfied with anything less than a knockout victory on Saturday. He intends to knock Covington out of the UFC headliner and back to competing on the regional stage.

Meanwhile, Covington addressed Masvidal saying “It’s going to be easy work on Saturday night. This ain’t even going to be a walk in the park, dude.” Masvidal and Covington are both coming off losses to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Masvidal remains confident that his superior wrestling and impressive pace will make for a rather easy night against his former roommate.

UFC 272 Fight Card, Odds

In what promises to be an entertaining night of mixed martial arts action, UFC 272 is headlined by the welterweight grudge match between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. There’s no love lost between the former training mates-turned-rivals, and they’ll put their rivalry and skills to the test in a five-round fight in the octagon.

Wrapping Up

UFC 272 pits former ‘best friends’ against each other and the mind games could play a huge factor in the result. At the end of the day, it’s styles that make fights and Covington (16-3) is not only younger by three years in comparison to the 37-year-old Masvidal (35-15), he appears to be the much fresher fighter at the moment. Vegas odds makers have Covington (16-3) as the odds-on favorite to win UFC 272. I personally predict that Covington will win via decision. What do you think?
