Recently, Netflix has boosted the careers of John Mulaney and Ali Wong, given a platform to James Acaster’s bumbling experimentation, and witnessed the long-awaited comeback for Dave Chappelle. Hannah Gadsby’s brave and brawny Nanette was the highlight, nothing less than a cultural shift in the way we perceive the standup monologue. Netflix are now pushing their innovation a few steps further, granting half an hour on stage to a variety of fresh comedians from around the globe.
