Spectrum: Two detectives with dark pasts pair up to take down LA’s deadliest criminal enterprises. Gabrielle Union (Girls Trip) and Jessica Alba (Sin City) star as Syd and Nancy (yes, really), in a bombastic, stylish take on Michael Bay’s Bad Boys series just in time to coincide with the third film in the series dropping sometime next year. Union’s character carries over from Bad Boys II, with Alba joining as the franchise’s newcomer to the explosive proceedings. Is that a crossover we smell on the horizon? Given Bad Boys for Life’s long history in development hell, we’re thinking probably not.
