IHF Championship Semifinal 2021: France vs Sweden live stream, TV channel, Game start time. In the first quarterfinal played at the Cairo Sports Indoor Sports Complex, Denmark defeated Egypt 39-38 after a penalty shootout. Egypt was in the ascendancy for the early part of the match and it was only in the 18th minute when Danes took the lead. The halftime score was 16-13 in Favor of Denmark. The Danes maintained a lead in most of the second half but Egypt was resilient and the second half ended 28-28.

There was more drama in extra time. Danes looked to win at the end of the first extra time but right at the end Denmark’s Mikkel Hansen was sent off for time wasting and A final 7m throw converted by Sanad gave the Egyptians the draw that took them to the second two periods.

More drama followed in the second extratime Egypt as Ibrahim El Masry was sent off too in the fourth period of extra time, shortly before El Tayar conceded Magnus Landin scored a final second 7m throw. 

A penalty throw-off ensued, with Egypt missing two shots to Denmark’s one, giving the latter the advantage. The Player of the match was chosen as Egypt’s Ali Zein, who scored five goals. Niklas Landin (Denmark) was excellent as the goalkeeper making some stunning saves.

Denmark, the defending Champions, will play Spain in the semi-finals. Spain stunned Norway 31-26 in the QF played at the New Capital Sports Hall, New Administrative Capital. Spain led 21-15 at halftime. Spanish goalkeeper Rodrigo Corrales claimed the ‘Player of the Match Award’.

Sweden defeated Qatar 35:23 after leading 14:10 at halftime. Swedish Defence controlled Frankis Marzo and he was able to score only 5 goals. For Sweden, Lukas Pellas and Valter Chrintz both scored 8 goals. Andreas Palicka, the Swedish goalkeeper was named man of the match

Sweden will now play France in the semi-finals., France defeated Hungary 35-32 after leading 14-12 at half-time.  The second half concluded at 30:30, French ended 35:32 in extra time to make it to the semi-finals.
